V 0.0.2 isn't just a small update, it's a full rewrite of the game from a janky mess to something resembling real code underneath. There are also plenty of new features!!
This update includes these new features!!
- More enemies!!
- Saving the game!!
- Loading from that save!!
- Heal action!!
- Blast action!!
- A mysterious well to throw things in!!
- A revive system!!
- More enemies can spawn in a battle than before!
- Enemies have ascii are sprites of their names!!
- AP balanced so investing level up points into it falls off more over time.
- FIN is more useful than before now being used as the main stat determining damage in the Blast action.
- Added coins to buy your life back!
- Prompts player for important input on starting a new game!!
- The chosen color determines the colors used by the UI!!
- The input given by the player determine the seed of the game!!
Known Bug
- Sometimes the well will consume items you have equipped. I am not sure how the logic for that broke in that way. It wont unequip the item when removing it from inventory.
- The well doesn't give coins for items as often as i would like, but it's still ok.
IDK if I'll work on this project again. I've started a new project in the meantime that will be a 2d physics game. Full extent of that I'm unsure of at the moment, but I am very pleased with my progress so far.
