V 0.0.2


V 0.0.2 isn't just a small update, it's a full rewrite of the game from a janky mess to something resembling real code underneath. There are also plenty of new features!!

This update includes these new features!!

  • More enemies!!
  • Saving the game!!
  • Loading from that save!!
  • Heal action!!
  • Blast action!!
  • A mysterious well to throw things in!!
  • A revive system!!
  • More enemies can spawn in a battle than before!
  • Enemies have ascii are sprites of their names!!
  • AP balanced so investing level up points into it falls off more over time.
  • FIN is more useful than before now being used as the main stat determining damage in the Blast action.
  • Added coins to buy your life back!
  • Prompts player for important input on starting a new game!!
  • The chosen color determines the colors used by the UI!!
  • The input given by the player determine the seed of the game!!

Known Bug

  • Sometimes the well will consume items you have equipped. I am not sure how the logic for that broke in that way. It wont unequip the item when removing it from inventory.
  • The well doesn't give coins for items as often as i would like, but it's still ok.

IDK if I'll work on this project again. I've started a new project in the meantime that will be a 2d physics game. Full extent of that I'm unsure of at the moment, but I am very pleased with my progress so far.
